Connected & Thriving · The Four-Week Conversation Reset

A safer way to have the conversations that shape the relationship.

A live virtual relationship-education program created by Eddie Collins, LMHC, and built from his book Connected and the Connected Conversation Method.

For churches, community organizations, and couples who want structured relationship skills without turning the cohort into public group therapy.

The book behind the program

Connected

Connected & Thriving turns the book's five-step Conversation Method—Pause, Hear, Name, Ask, and Repair—into four weeks of guided practice for couples.

Four live 75-minute virtual sessions

Facilitated by Eddie Collins for up to 20 couples, with structured teaching, demonstrations, and private partner practice.

Participant materials

Each couple receives a branded digital workbook with reflection prompts, practice exercises, and a 30-day connection plan.

Host launch support

180 Counseling Group supplies co-branded promotional copy, registration guidance, reminders, host roles, and a completion summary.

Private by design

Couples are not required to reveal personal relationship details to the group. Partner exercises happen privately, with clear safety and scope boundaries.

Four-week curriculum

Learn the method. Practice the return.

Each week builds on the last, turning the five-step method into a repeatable relationship practice.

Week One

Slow the reaction. Hear the meaning.

Couples learn Pause and Hear: how to recognize activation, stay present, and listen for the emotional message beneath the words.

Week Two

Name what is underneath. Ask clearly.

Couples practice moving from criticism, mind-reading, or withdrawal toward honest language about feelings, fears, needs, and requests.

Week Three

Protect the bond under pressure.

The method is applied to conflict, stress, and recurring cycles so partners can interrupt escalation without abandoning the conversation.

Week Four

Repair with accountability.

Couples learn what meaningful repair requires and leave with a practical 30-day plan for continued connection after the cohort.

A strong fit

Designed for couples who

  • Care about the relationship but keep getting trapped in the same conversation
  • Want practical skills for listening, needs, conflict, and repair
  • Can participate safely without public disclosure
  • Understand the program is educational rather than clinical treatment

Not the right setting

The cohort is not designed for

  • Emergency intervention, diagnosis, or individualized treatment
  • Active violence, coercive control, intimidation, or immediate danger
  • Situations requiring a confidential clinical assessment
  • Organizations seeking a faith-specific curriculum presented as doctrine

Current founding-host investment
